Matthew Macdonald

Matthew started Clapper Loading then 2nd AC in 2012 working on local and international features in Cape Town, South Africa. After 4 years of loading under some of the best 1st AC’s in South Africa, he progressed to 1st AC, and has become one of the more sought after 1st AC’s in the South African market. Having worked for most of South Africa’s largest production companies as a First AC, shooting service commercials and music video’s, Matthew has as a result in shot with some of the world’s top Directors of Photography, often being re booked by the DOP’S even in their home countries. He has shot in locations around the world, including Thailand, Poland, London, Dominican Republic and many more. Matthew has recently relocated to the UAE.
