Haydn Van Zyl

Haydn, South African born, started the industry in 2014 as a Production PA on a big international series. From there he quickly started to climb up the ladder of being a natural AD. From 3rd AD on Black Sails to on set 2nd AD on The Looming Tower caught the attention of Vikings director Ciaran Donnely who requested Haydn to run the floor for his block, EP 10 of the Professionals with Brendan Fraser and Tom Welling. Spending many a shoot with action units and stunt teams made this second nature to his ability to execute.
Haydn’s highlight was travelling to Morocco in 2017 to shoot alongside with Jeff Daniels on the Looming Tower.
His strengths are to pre-empt what is happening in the next 3 setups and communication with the relevant departments. He is a people’s person as well as the crew’s person.
